Joining in the festival were the President of the Thai Indian Pattaya Business Association (TIPBA) Mr. Sukkarat Karnla and the President of the Indian Community Pattaya Association (ICP) Mr. Laksaman Singh.
The Festival of Colors (HOLI) Pattaya Thailand was held to support Indian traditions and encourage tourism. There were two zones in the festival which were a Hindu religious zone and an entertainment zone for organic color splashing with live music and dancing, as well as free Indian food and drinks.
The festival is one of the most well known internationally Indian festivals. HOLI means ‘end of year’. The color splashing is similar to the Songkran festival, which is now only a few weeks away.
The event was seen as a preview to Songkran on social media with thousands of likes and shares across social media and major attention, with many focused on happy and excited the participants were.
Organizers appeared pleased with the turnout and overall positive reception of the event and hope it will be become an annual tradition in Pattaya and bigger every year.
